Our Speaker
Father Raymond J. de Souza
Father Raymond J. de Souza was ordained a Catholic priest on 20th July 2002 for the Archdiocese of Kingston, Ontario.
From 2003-2022 he served as Chaplain at Newman House, the Roman Catholic chaplaincy at Queen’s University. During that time, he was, for fifteen seasons (2004-2019), the chaplain for the Queen’s Golden Gaels football team, including the 2009 Vanier Cup national championship season.
At the same time, he served as Pastor of Sacred Heart of Mary Parish (2006 – 2022) on Wolfe Island – the largest of the Thousand Islands in the St. Lawrence River. Since 2022, he has been Pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Kemptville. He was appointed a Missionary of Mercy by Pope Francis, a special designation for certain priests. The appointment continues today.
He is a Senior Fellow at Massey College, University of Toronto, and a Senior Fellow for Cardus, Canada’s leading Christian think tank.
Father de Souza completed an undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Studies (BA Hons. 1993) and a graduate degree in public policy (MPA 1994) at Queen’s University. He studied development economics (MPhil 1995) at the University of Cambridge, England. He continues to teach for the Queen’s Economics Department and writes regularly for The National Post.
Our Worship Leader
Will Walker
Before stepping out to pursue music full-time in March 2018, Will Walker served for 10 years as a full-time worship pastor. Since then, he has had the privilege of travelling across Canada and internationally, sharing the message of the Gospel through music and the Word.
Will and his wife Melanie, along with their two children, Sadie-Jo and Isaac, travel and minister together at churches, conferences, and special events. Will has also been actively serving at his local church in downtown Kingston, Ontario since 2019. Will is a speaker and artist ambassador with Compassion Canada.
Will and his family love Jesus and desire that their lives and music would inspire others to live a life of worship, serving as God’s hands and feet to bring hope and the Good News of Jesus to a world in need of Him.
